Yin-Yang Orb is a trinket added in The Reheated update.

Effects

• Grants a 16.67% chance to fire an amulet projectile that deals 1.25× Isaac's damage and with a boosted form of homing, being more aggressive at targeting enemies than other forms of homing tears.
  • The chance to fire an amulet tear is affected by Isaac's luck, capping out at a 63.33% chance at 7 luck.

Interactions

• Aquarius: Creep puddles created by Aquarius have a chance to become homing and dealing 25% more damage per tick to enemies.
• Trinket Multipliers: +0.50× to the damage multiplier of the amulet tears for every trinket multiplier.
• Dichromatic Butterfly: Increases the chance to fire an amulet tear (25% at 0 luck, and can now reach 95% at 7 luck), and amulet tears gain a 1.75× damage multiplier.
  • Dichromatic Butterfly + Trinket Multipliers: Does not further increase the chance to fire an amulet tear, but the damage multiplier of the tears will stack with trinket multipliers as usual.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Yin-Yang Orb rerolls it into Chunk of Tar.

Trivia

• Yin-Yang Orb is a reference to Reimu Hakurei, from the doujin Bullet Hell game Touhou Project.
  • In the game, she has many connections to Yin-Yang orbs, and is used in some of her attacks. Yin-Yang orbs have also been used extensively in the PC-98 games.
